What Does Interior Painting Include?

Wall
Painting

Painting your walls is a great way to add some color and personality to your home. It's also a great way to protect your walls from wear and tear. Paint is much more durable than wallpaper, and it's easier to clean. Plus, painting is a relatively inexpensive way to change the look of your home.

Trim
Painting

Trim painting is an essential part of the painting process. It can help to create a finished look, define lines and edges, and add visual interest to a space. When choosing a paint color for trim, it is important to consider the surrounding walls and décor. A bold trim color can add drama to a room, while a more subdued shade can create a more subtle look.

Ceiling
Painting

Ceilings are the fifth wall of a room and often get neglected when it comes to painting. But a fresh coat of paint can really brighten up a space, making it feel clean and new.

Window
Painting

When it comes to painting the interior of your home, window frames are often an afterthought. But taking the time to paint your window frames can really make a difference in the overall look of your space. Not only will freshly painted frames add a pop of color and brightness, but they will also help to disguise any nicks or scratches. And if you're planning on selling your home, painting the window frames is a great way to add value.

Door
Painting

Doors can be used to create a focal point or add a touch of style to a space. For these reasons, it is important to choose the right color when painting room doors. A fresh coat of paint can help to brighten a space and give it a new look. It can also be used to complement the existing décor or create a contrast that adds interest. When painting room doors, keep in mind that dark colors can make a space feel smaller, while light colors can make it feel more open and airy.

Cabinet
Painting

There are many reasons why painting cabinets is a good idea. Paint can help to protect the wood from damage, while also giving the cabinets a fresh new look. It is also relatively easy to touch up paint, so if the cabinets get scratched or scuffed, they will be much easier to fix than if they were stained. In addition, paint can help to brighten up a kitchen and make it feel more welcoming.

Closet
Painting

A fresh coat of paint can do wonders for any room in your home, but it can be especially helpful in a small space like a closet. Dark colors can make a closet feel cramped and claustrophobic, while light colors can make it feel more open and airy. A coat of paint can also help to brighten up a dark closet, making it easier to find items.

Color Consultation

A professional color consultant can help you narrow down your options and create a cohesive look for your home. They'll take into account your personal preferences, as well as the specific characteristics of the space, to come up with a palette that is both eye-catching and practical. Whether you're looking for something calm and serene or bold and vibrant, a color consultation can help you find the perfect shades for your home.

Interior Painting Process

Our interior painting projects will follow this process:

1

Project Confirmation

Project scope, color details and timelines are confirmed.

2

Set up and Protect

We ask our clients to remove all pictures from walls and move furniture, TV's, and appliances so nothing gets damaged. We can assist in this process if you need help, but we ask our clients to be present.

3

Cover

We cover all flooring and furniture with drop cloths. We only use tape if needed on certain areas. All our painters are able to paint clean cut lines without tape.

4

Painting

We recommend Behr Marquee interior paint, as it has a line of one-coat colors that are high quality and have great coverage - saving you money. During the project, our approach is to finish areas or sections each day so your home is still functional in other areas while we are working.

5

Final Walk Through/ Clean Up

The day before we finish, the project lead person will schedule a final walk through with you so we can look at the finished job together. And we will make sure everything is cleaned up before we leave.

Interior Painting FAQs

How often should interior walls be painted?

Most paint companies recommend repainting the inside of your home every three to five years, depending on the level of traffic in your home and the amount of wear and tear that your walls experience. If you have young children or pets, you may want to repaint more frequently to touch up any fingerprints or stains that may occur. You may also want to consider repainting if you are planning on selling your home, as a fresh coat of paint can help make your home more appealing to potential buyers. Whether you repaint every few years or only when necessary, taking the time to freshen up your walls can help create a brighter, more inviting space.

Do I need to paint my ceiling?

A fresh coat of paint can do wonders for a room, giving it a clean, new look. But when it comes to painting the ceiling, is it really necessary? The short answer is that it depends on the condition of the existing paint and the amount of foot traffic in the room. If the ceiling is in good condition and isn't subject to a lot of wear and tear, you may not need to paint it. However, if the paint is starting to show signs of age or discoloration, or if the ceiling is in a high-traffic area, then painting it may be a good idea. In general, ceilings should be painted every five to seven years to keep them looking their best.

How long does it take to paint the interior of a house?

Professional painters are able to work quickly and efficiently to paint the interior of a house. They will typically start by preparing the surfaces, which may involve sanding down rough edges, filling in holes or cracks, and priming the walls. Once the prep work is complete, they will begin painting. Depending on the size of the house and the number of rooms, this process can take anywhere from a few days to a couple weeks.
